Verdict
Guerrero cupreata, what they call papalote, brings a stone-and-flower brightness that Oaxacan agaves rarely match, and Doña Erika Meneses grows it well. Mezcalosfera's glass resting rounds the body without dulling the high notes. Reach for it next to a Koch cupreata; both make the Guerrero case, but this one trades a little wildness for polish.

Tasting notes
Nose: Stone fruit, wildflower, hot rock, green herb, a faint cocoa
Palate: Aromatic and layered at 46-50%. Cupreata's floral-stone lift given a fuller body by glass rest, mineral and long, the Guerrero high notes holding
Finish: Long, floral, slowly drying
