Verdict
A five-agave ensamble at 52.1% ABV is a high-wire act that almost no maestro can land, and Felipe Cortés lands this one. The bottle is one of the Mezcalosfera catalog's most ambitious releases and one of its most successful, every agave has a role, the proof carries the weight, and the result belongs in the conversation with Memorable Espadín and Mezcalero No. 26.
Five agaves at 52.1% and every one of them is legible. That's maestro work
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, ripe melon, wet slate, wildgrass, mineral dust
Palate: 52.1% with five distinct agaves audible, tobalá's round tropical core, verde's greener lift, madrecuishe and cuishe's karwinskii spine, espadín's weight, each voice present, the whole coherent
Finish: Floral, flinty, layered – very long
The bottom line
If it's on the shelf, take it. A Mezcalosfera masterpiece
