Verdict

Nayaá's espadín at 40% is the fourth bottle in the lineup to make the same proof mistake. The producer clearly has access to real Guerrero agave; what they don't have is a line-up spec that lets the state talk. No consensus data; reading at consistent with the rest of the brand – competent commercial-floor spirit without a reason to choose it over anyone else's.

40% is Nayaá's habit, and the habit is the problem

Tasting notes

Nose: Light smoke, cooked agave, faint pepper, vanilla

Palate: 40% – the familiar Nayaá proof ceiling applied to espadín. Clean, short, no distinctive Guerrero reading

Finish: Short, clean, sweet

The bottom line

Skip. Same proof ceiling, same result
