Verdict
Of the Nayaá bottles we've tasted, the weber is the one above 40% – and the one where the agave actually gets to talk. At 44% the tequilana reads full rather than thin, and the Guerrero distillation gives it a drier edge than a Jalisco blanco would. Buy it as the one Nayaá that justifies itself. The rest of the range should follow this spec.
The Nayaá bottle that finally proofs up – and it's the tequilana
Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked pineapple with green pepper, faint smoke
Palate: 44% tequilana distilled outside the tequila DO – closer to a restrained blanco tequila with a mezcal soul. Mid-weight, sweet-savory, cleanest bottle in the range
Finish: Sweet, clean. Medium
The bottom line
The one Nayaá worth trying, a curiosity for tequila drinkers
