Verdict
Nicolás García Vásquez's bottling for NETA is a model of the project, single maestro, specific batch, high proof (52.3%), and the arroqueño-sierra negra ensamble is legible as a decision rather than a marketing story. Both agaves retain their identity across the palate: arroqueño's honey-weight sits alongside sierra negra's mineral austerity without either crowding the other out. The community agrees. The NETA bottle that most clearly explains the importer's model.
NETA's great bottlings are all conversations between two agaves
Tasting notes
Nose: Dark honey – then bay, warm leather, a light lavender high note
Palate: Weight and precision in equal measure, arroqueño's density balanced by sierra negra's brighter spine. 52.3% earns the structure
Finish: Warming, cooling in equal turns
The bottom line
The NETA bottle that explains the project
