Verdict

Five agaves in one bottle is a maximalist experiment, and the result is a ensamble where each part barely has room to breathe. Three reviewers at 3.2 is honest; our read leans a hair more generous for the ambition. If you want the NETA catalog's concept of wild-agave ensamble, the three- and four-agave versions from Wilfrido and Ranulfo do it better.

Five agaves is a theory. This bottle tests it

Tasting notes

Nose: Dried flower, wet stone, warm herb, faint fruit

Palate: 46.05% five-agave ensamble – each voice present but crowded. The tepextate and cuishe verde read, but don't dominate

Finish: Layered, slightly flat

The bottom line

Skip in favor of the three-agave versions
