Verdict
Celso García Cruz's three-agave ensamble is ambitious and only partially resolved – the madrecuishe doesn't quite moderate the jabalí's aggression, and the result reads hotter than the cleaner bicuishe-jabalí pairings in the NETA catalog. Two reviewers at 3.0 is a hair harsh; we score it slightly more generous. The bicuishe-jabalí from Celso is the first purchase; this is the second.
Jabalí demands the seat at the head of the table. Madrecuishe gives it
Tasting notes
Nose: Wild herb, then warm earth, dry citrus, faint musk
Palate: 47.7% three-karwinskii-family ensamble where jabalí runs hotter than madrecuishe would prefer – the cooler madrecuishe spine partially subdues the jabalí but doesn't fully tame it
Finish: Herbal, slightly unresolved – long
The bottom line
Buy second, after the bicuishe-jabalí
