Verdict
Madrecuishe at 48.2% instead of the chronic 45-47% undersell, from a maestro whose name appears on the label – both decisions are why NETA exists as a project. García Cruz delivers the slate-honey-earth signature without pushing, which is the hard version of madrecuishe to render. Track his name across the range; it keeps showing up on bottles worth owning.
Madrecuishe done right
Tasting notes
Nose: Dark honey, then hot slate, black pepper
Palate: Madrecuishe's signature weight carried cleanly; dense at 48.2%
Finish: Drying, warm – very long
The bottom line
Worth the specialty-importer premium
