Verdict
Pescador de Sueños' arroqueño clears the proof bar and delivers a recognizable species portrait, but sits a clear step below the Papadiablo and Oax Original arroqueños from this batch. The gap is concentration – the agave is there but the extract isn't all the way. Reach for it when the reference bottles aren't available.
A serviceable arroqueño that reminds you why the category's top arroqueños cost more
Tasting notes
Nose: Dark fruit. Then cocoa, wet earth, a mineral top
Palate: 48% of arroqueño with the species' markers present but rendered less densely than Papadiablo or Real Minero manage. Cleanly made, just not as extracted
Finish: Warming, earthy – long
The bottom line
Reach for it if the references are out. Trade up when they aren't
