Pacifica bacanora at 45% – competent northern entry

Verdict
Puntagave's rustico bacanora is a surprising step up from the artisanal espadín – same parent brand, different posture. For a starter bacanora at friendly price, this holds its own. Rancho Tepua remains the serious Sonoran answer, but this is a legitimate first pour. We'd rank it with Cielo Rojo for weekday work.
The rustico line is where Puntagave tells the truth
Tasting notes
Nose: Dry grass, green agave, faint diesel
Palate: Medium-bodied, clean enough, 45% is in the Sonoran standard range. Puntagave's rustico line commits to the regional character more than the artisanal line does – there's an actual bacanora signature in the glass
Finish: Warm, clean
The bottom line
Worth owning as a first bacanora. Upgrade to Rancho Tepua after
