Verdict
Edgar Ángeles doesn't ensemble for display; each maguey is here because it resolves a question the others couldn't. Seventeen months of glass rest has softened nothing that mattered and bonded everything that did. Real Minero is the producer other producers cite, and this bottle is why – Lalocura and 5 Sentidos work in this register; almost no one else does.
Every agave has a reason to be there
Tasting notes
Nose: Green melon, then wet limestone, orange zest, warm clay, a thread of wildflower honey
Palate: Plush at 49.99%, the barril's savory weight anchoring coyota's brightness and tobalá's high-floral edge. The becuela adds something almost briny. Seamless, not homogenized
Finish: Mineral, gently drying, long
