Verdict
Limited release, four agaves, clay pot, and real proof. Real Minero keeps making the case that ensamble isn't blending for smoothness but blending for argument. Pick this over any Rey Campero ensamble at the same price if both are available; Edgar Ángeles holds more tension in the mid-palate. Mexicanito is the surprise here, it lifts without sweetening.
Every agave is audible – none is the soloist
Tasting notes
Nose: Wet earth, then green pepper, stewed fruit, cooked agave, a thread of citrus
Palate: Dense and aromatic, mexicanito's brightness sitting on top of largo and barril's deeper frame. Espadín does the structural work underneath
Finish: Mineral, faintly sweet. Long
The bottom line
Worth taking if it's on the shelf
