Verdict

Real Minero rested this ensamble for a decade before bottling, and that's not a line for the press kit; it's what the liquid tastes like. Most ensambles argue; this one has settled. If you want to understand what glass aging can do to a mezcal without oak interfering, this is the textbook. The only ensambles in this register come from Lalocura or 5 Sentidos.

Ten years in glass isn't marketing – it's in the shape of every sip

Tasting notes

Nose: Dried herbs walks in first. Then warm honey, wet stone, woodsmoke, stewed fruit

Palate: Round and integrated at 46%, the decade of glass rest showing in how nothing sticks out, barril, largo, tripon, espadín all arriving together. 46% would be a concern on a younger bottle; here it's the right weight for what the glass has done

Finish: Long, soft, persistent

The bottom line

The pick for the shelf, it will teach you something
