Verdict
Real Minero is the producer other producers cite. Graciela Ángeles Carreño and the Angeles family run the project with a rigor that shows up in the glass as coherence, every flavor has a reason to be there. The 4.4 consensus understates what's in the bottle. One of our two reference 5-agave scores.
Every flavor is load-bearing
Tasting notes
Nose: Dried stone fruit with hot slate, a single note of iodine that sounds wrong and reads as depth
Palate: Enormously textured, the clay-still signature – with waves of herbal, mineral, and sweet-agave character that don't step on each other
Finish: Endless. Saline, herbal, stone, cooling
The bottom line
If you see it, buy it. Full stop
