Verdict
Edgar Ángeles is an architect by training and a mezcalero by family; the palenque is his, and so is this pairing. Barril adds the structural gravity marteño sometimes lacks on its own, and 53.38% is where both agaves get their full say. A quieter Real Minero, less showy than the five-agave ensambles, but the bottle's logic is visible in every sip.

Tasting notes
Nose: Green pepper with warm honey, woodsmoke
Palate: Dense at 53.38%, barril's savory frame anchoring marteño's floral reach. The palenque Edgar designed as an architect produces a liquid you can diagram
Finish: Mineral, warming
The bottom line
A deliberate, legible Real Minero
