Verdict
Pulquero is rarely bottled solo because the agave's name tells you its usual fate, it's the plant pulque is made from. Rey Campero ran it through distillation at 52% and aged it in glass, and the result is a legitimately distinct bottle. The lactic-herbal signature isn't for every palate, but for drinkers already working through the wider agave map it's a valuable stop. 5 Sentidos has bottled pulquero; this version holds up.
Pulquero is its own agave – Rey Campero treats it like one

Palate: Structured and herbal. At 52%, pulquero's characteristic lactic-fermented signature present but disciplined. Vicente Sánchez Parada at La Candela palenque, aged in glass
