Verdict
Seven-agave ensambles are usually more showcase than coherent bottle. Leonardo Hernández's small-batch release reads as an actual composition – 48.8% is enough to carry the density, and each agave gets its cue. Sits in conversation with Real Minero's five-and-six-agave ensambles without quite matching them for integration, but it's close, and at a lower price.
Seven agaves is a statement – Leonardo Hernández makes it a sentence
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, green pepper, cooked agave, wet earth, orchid
Palate: Layered at 48.8%, coyote, cuishe, espadín, lumbre, tepextate, tobalá, and tobasiche each finding their moment. Leonardo Hernández holds the architecture; copper pot still, San Baltazar Guélavila
Finish: Very long, floral, mineral
