Verdict
Rezpiral released this mexicano-tepextate as a limited run, and the two-agave format makes each side of the pairing audible in a way the three-agave mexicano-espadín-tepextate doesn't. Both bottles belong on the shelf; this one is the more intimate conversation. Pick it if you've already got the three-agave version and want the comparison.
Two wild agaves – Berta Vásquez lets them talk
Tasting notes
Nose: Orchid, green herb, wet stone, wildflower
Palate: Aromatic and layered, tepextate's floral profile sitting over mexicano's vegetal structure. Berta Vásquez's method again; fewer agaves means the conversation between them is louder
Finish: Floral, mineral, very long
The bottom line
Buy, two-agave Berta Vásquez is a different study
