Verdict
Pulquero solo bottlings are rare, and Reyna Sánchez's version at 45.5% is one of the better examples in the category. The lactic-vegetal profile is legible without being the whole bottle, and the 45.5% proof works because her cooking concentrates the agave. Rey Campero's pulquero at 52% is the higher-proof comparison; Reyna's reads more integrated. Buy them both.
Pulquero bottled by a maestra who knows the agave personally
Tasting notes
Nose: Green herb. Then wet stone, cooked agave, a faint lactic edge
Palate: Structured and herbal at 45.5%, Reyna Sánchez's cooking method (clay/stone roasting) preserving pulquero's characteristic lactic-vegetal signature without letting it dominate
Finish: Very long, mineral, dry
The bottom line
Buy, female-maestra pulquero at reference caliber
