Verdict
Tepextate below 48% is usually where the floral-vegetal profile starts to blur, and Aureliano Hernández's 46% version is right on that edge. His method is tight enough that the bottle reads as deliberate, but not so tight that you wouldn't pick the Revelador Tepeztate (47%) or Rey Campero Tepextate (48%) over it. A working Rezpiral tepextate for the completist.
Tepextate at 46% is a risk – Aureliano just clears it
Tasting notes
Nose: Orchid, green pepper, wet stone, wildflower
Palate: Aromatic at 46%, tepextate's floral signature present but slightly thinned – 46% is under the usual 48% floor for this agave. Aureliano Hernández's ferment concentration is what keeps it legible
Finish: Long, floral, mineral
The bottom line
