Verdict
Pairing two wild agaves that usually carry a bottle on their own is a flex that rarely pays off, both start talking over each other. Leonardo Hernández has the mix calibrated so the coyote lifts and tobalá grounds. Mezcalosfera's small-lot releases hit this kind of specificity; this one sits next to them credibly. A sleeper pick in Rezpiral's catalog.
Coyote with tobalá should be greedy. This one is generous instead
Tasting notes
Nose: Forest floor with green peppercorn, hot stone
Palate: The coyote's citrus-herbal spike rides tobalá's honeyed weight; 47.6% lifts both without flattening either. Pronounced agave-pulp texture
Finish: Herbaceous, faintly peppery
The bottom line
Grab if you see it. These lots don't repeat
