Verdict
Tripón is the kind of regional wild agave that distinguishes a catalog from a brand. Félix Cruz bottling it solo at full proof is the Sabelotodo thesis in one pour – the obscure agave isn't treated as novelty, it's treated as subject. Sits next to Cuentacuentos and 5 Sentidos lot releases. No consensus yet; our read 4.0.
Tripón solo is a question most producers don't bother asking
Tasting notes
Nose: Green papaya, then crushed mint, wet stone, faint anise
Palate: Tripón's oddly tropical-herbal profile hits hard at 47–52%; this is an agave that could easily be wallpapered into an ensamble, and here it gets to be itself
Finish: Cool, green
The bottom line
Grab it for any serious wild-agave deep-dive
