Verdict
Salvadores's reposado is an honest middle-of-the-line bottle – nothing heroic, nothing careless. Flavio Pérez Méndez's intent shows through. Sits a hair above the Scorpion reposado, behind any of the small-production aged mezcals. Consensus 3.0 lands.
A reposado that remembers the agave was the reason
Tasting notes
Nose: Light vanilla with cooked agave underneath
Palate: 42% is on the safe side of aged mezcal proof; the rest period adds warmth without blunting the espadín completely
Finish: Sweet, mildly spiced
The bottom line
Fine for a cocktail rotation; pass for sipping
