Verdict

Cupreata is Guerrero's argument for itself, and it needs at least 45% to make the case. Tecuán's 40.5% cupreata has interesting notes – the artichoke and mint-oil specificity is real – but the proof files off the mid-palate weight the agave would otherwise deliver. Reach for NETA or Cuish cupreata for the agave at full voice. This one undersells.

Nose: Cut grass, boiled artichoke, light smoke

Palate: 40.5% is too low for cupreata, and the bottle feels it – caramel-toffee mid-palate, mint-oil hint, asparagus and green-pepper notes, all held back by the proof
