Verdict
Fernando Mitra's coyote delivers the karwinskii's mineral-and-herb character at an honest 47%, with the Sola de Vega clay-pot signature visible throughout. It's a credible bottle but sits a rung below Tepanal's coyote and another rung below Sin Gusano's Amatlán karwinskii bottles. Fine if Tio Pesca is what you can find; climb higher when you can.
Coyote at 47% – honest karwinskii, not reference-grade
Tasting notes
Nose: Wet stone up front. Green herb, stone fruit, a faint mineral smoke underneath
Palate: 47% carries the coyote's karwinskii signature through the clay – limestone through-line, herbal lift, a lighter body than Tepanal's 50% version but still structurally committed
Finish: Mineral, herbal – long
The bottom line
Decent coyote. Climb to Tepanal for the ceiling
