Tres Santos Cuishe
A clean cuishe from a San Dionisio bench worth watching
Score: 3.5/5 agaves

- Maestro: Miguel Martinez Jerónimo
- Region: San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca
- Agave: Cuishe
- ABV: 45%
- Price: $55 ($$)
Verdict
Tres Santos operates at the quieter end of the Ocotepec bench, and the cuishe is a fair example of what the house does, honest karwinskii at a proof that gives the plant room to breathe. Not at the Vago Emigdio level of concentration, but priced accordingly and worth a pour for anyone exploring the family. We score it 3.5.
San Dionisio karwinskii in a glass that doesn't cost $90
Tasting notes
Nose: Green pepper up front. Wet rope, cooked agave, mineral undertow underneath
Palate: Lean and herbal at 45%, with the cuishe's dry karwinskii structure intact and Miguel Martinez Jerónimo's hand keeping the back palate clean
Finish: Drying, slate-tinged. Long
The bottom line
An honest cuishe from a producer still writing their reputation
