Verdict
Juan Perez's lamparillo works as the softer counterpoint to Roldán and Ávila, same town, same plant, discernibly different hand. At 45% it's proofed a touch under the other two but still delivers the Durango herbal tail. For anyone building a single-maestro comparison flight out of Nombre de Dios, this is the third bottle.
Three maestros, one town, three legible signatures
Tasting notes
Nose: Dry herbs with a touch of pine, wildflower
Palate: With the Nombre de Dios mineral signature and a slightly softer mid-palate than Roldán's expression; structured and herbal at 45%
Finish: Mineral, cooling. Very long
The bottom line
Worth the hunt. The soft-voice Ultramundo in a three-bottle flight
