Verdict
Vamonos Riendo pulls agave and distillation from three different Oaxaca towns – San Juan del Rio, San Pedro Quiatoni, Tlalixtac, and the result, against the odds, holds together. At 42% the proof runs a tier below where pechuga is strongest, but the composition earns a pass. Between this and the Banhez pechuga de pavo, the value-tier pechuga shelf has honest options.
Multi-village blending usually compromises. This one composes
Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked agave, savory fruit, wildflower
Palate: Round and warm at 42%, with the espadín-tobalá pair reading through the pechuga run and three different towns' fingerprints somehow held in one glass
Finish: Long, warming, faintly sweet
The bottom line
Worth tracking. Multi-town pechuga that actually coheres
