Verdict
Xicaru Silver is the bottle that taught us to stop recommending bottles just because they're cheap. The 2.3 consensus is essentially unanimous: this does not warrant the shelf space. Banhez Ensamble costs almost the same and outperforms by a full tier.
Below the threshold where 'budget' is an excuse
Tasting notes
Nose: Sharp alcohol, faint smoke, a chemical sweetness
Palate: Hot, thin, industrial – 40.5% ABV is presented without any of the structural virtues that would make the proof welcome
Finish: Slightly burning
The bottom line
Skip. Banhez exists for the same money
