Verdict
The 102 is the bottle that exposes the regular Silver as a deliberate choice. At 51% Xicaru can produce something you'd put in a glass on purpose; at 40.5% they choose not to. That's not production constraint, that's positioning. You should buy the 102 if you're buying any Xicaru – and then you should mostly not buy Xicaru.
A slight upgrade over the 40.5% Xicaru. Still well below its price tier
Tasting notes
Nose: Sharper alcohol walks in first. Then cooked agave, more smoke than the standard
Palate: Marginally denser than the Silver at 51% – the proof does work, but the production ceiling shows
Finish: Hot – medium
The bottom line
Better than regular Xicaru. Still not recommended
