Verdict
Zacbe Reposado is a bottle that exists because the category allows it, soft proof, forgiving wood, a label that suggests more than the liquid delivers. Consensus 3.0 reads like goodwill. Skip it for Yuu Baal Reposado if you need a mezcal reposado, or a Wahaka añejo if you're after something more developed.
40% reposado is a compromise pretending to be a product
Tasting notes
Nose: Light oak, then vanilla, caramel, faint smoke
Palate: The wood working against a base that needed more structure to start with. Drinkable, unmemorable; soft and sweet at 40%
Finish: Short, woody-sweet, gone
The bottom line
A skip. Yuu Baal's reposado does the job better
